We advocate for our local and state government to prioritize multimodal transportation infrastructure. So far we have communicated with Caltrans District 3 regarding the Highway 32 Rehabilitation Project and submitted comments voicing our concerns and suggested improvements. In the future we intend to be involved in the development of the City of Chico’s active transportation plan.
We educate our fellow community members about current and future transportation projects. We inspire our neighbors to dream of a city (and world) where everybody can move safely - and act to make it possible.
Caltrans Highway 32 Rehabilitation project comments - submitted comments as an organization and encouraged over a dozen other community members to submit comments. Our comments outlined improvements that would have made the Highway 32 Corridor through Chico safer for all modes of transportation and reduced collisions resulting in injury and death.
Submitted comment to National Highway Traffic Safety Agency (NHTSA) regarding the New Car Assessment Program. Under this new program the NHTSA would finally begin rating cars for impacts on pedestrians. Our comment stated that the program needs to go further and address vehicle size and other things that impact safety for people who get hit by cars.
